Rise to the occassion.

Definition of a Demopath

"DEMOPATHS:

Demopaths are people who use democratic language and invoke human rights only when it serves their interests, and not when it calls for self-criticism or self-restraint. Demopaths demand stringent levels of human “rights” but do not apply these basic standards for the “other” to their own behavior. The most lethal demopaths use democratic rights to destroy democracy.

Demopaths differ from civil-society free-riders; the latter enjoy more rights than they grant to others simply out of selfishness or laziness. Demopaths are fundamentally hostile to granting others’ rights, and secretly despise the values of civil society (which demands that they tolerate and respect others). Instead of coming along for the ride, they want to sink the boat.

Demopaths use the jargon of civil society and human rights to convince their targets. Through this progressive discourse, demopaths exploit on people eager to believe that civic values can resolve the problem. Sometimes demopaths are completely hostile to the cultures in which they live, and manipulate human rights as a Trojan horse to enter the city and sack it."

The essence of Tea...

"There are Private-sector jobs that pay taxes and Public-sector jobs that consume taxes, and that tea party sympathizers are almost all Private-sector workers who are tired of being host organisms to the high salaries, generous pensions, and general waste being conducted by those Public-sector parasites." Overwhelm the system

Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.  (WAYNE ALLYN ROOT) Click for the rest of the article.

From the Chicks on the Right

You have to love an article that starts with "Holy. Mother. Of. Crap." and includes the line "That’s like saying my aggressive efforts to not allow 10 boxes of twinkies into my mouth daily has SAVED YOU from having to pay for my bariatric surgery."

For the article, please visit:

Oh yah, the article is about "1300 prison inmates were the lucky recipients of more than NINE MILLION DOLLARS in new homebuyer tax credits.

So that's how they're paying for it....

I thought for sure they were going to tax us to pay for the all of these socialist programs, but no. They are using "payroll deductions" to pay for things. Wow, and I thought they were going to take MY money.

We are all fed up!

I saw the following article on CBS News today, "House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, arguably the left's best ally in Washington, was greeted by angry liberal hecklers this morning at a Washington conference for progressive activists." Basically a disability group called ADAPT was upset that they were lied to. (Article) While the Dems in general and the Obama Administration specifically are constantly saying one thing and doing something different, you would think that I was trying to toot the Right's horn. Nothing could be more from the truth. Although the alarming rate that Obama is exponentially growing the deficit is alarming, the Republicans slow grow deficit is just insidious. The amount of pork and special interests is out of control. That is why the Tea Party is so effective. We are all fed up!

A great quote posted by Scott Ott on facebook...

"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue, they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader."
-- Samuel... Adams letter to James Warren, Feb. 12.1779

From the Vodkapundit: The Political Wisdom of Jim Henson

A call to bork Elena Kagan — from The Nation? Yes, indeedy. Check it out:

What is less remarked upon is that in her article Kagan proposed a model for a more vigorous and candid confirmation hearing—that of Judge Robert Bork. The process worked in that instance, she argued, not because of the particular result but because the hearings “presented to the public a serious discussion of the meaning of the Constitution, the role of the Court, and the views of the nominee; that discussion at once educated the public and allowed it to determine whether the nominee would move the Court in the proper direction.” In both popular and right-wing parlance, “borking” now means to vilify and defame a nominee in order to block his appointment, but Kagan’s description is in fact a far more accurate account of what happened—senators rigorously probed and considered Bork’s legal opinions and voted accordingly. So it is with this understanding that we propose, in the spirit of democratic deliberation of which she so eloquently wrote, that Elena Kagan should be borked.

Well then, in the wise words of the Swedish Chef… “Bork! Bork! Bork!”

The Looters need you...

Work harder, lazy people need your money. Entitlement programs are YOUR responsibility.
Work harder, you need to pay for other people's poor decisions. They chose whether or not to do their homework, study, try, go to college, where to live, and therefore the jobs that they have available. It is YOUR responsibility to pay for their lack of health benefits, their lack of retirement savings, THEIR lack of a job. It's your DUTY (insert guilt here) towards your fellow humans.
Work harder, your investment in your education needs to help pay for those who didn't even try. Most of them decided along time ago that it took too much effort to be successful members of society. So much easider to just get by.
Work harder, your investment in your business needs to help pay for those who don't care. You need to work late to keep your business alive so that you can keep paying for those who leave at 3:30 to go home and drink beer not to think about work again until an hour after they show up the next morning.
Work harder.....the Looters need you.

Boycott San Jose!

From a news article that I read today:

"San Jose officials Friday joined those criticizing Arizona's new law that empowers police to detain people suspected of being in the United States illegally.

Critics have assailed the law as a green light for cops to harass Latinos regardless of their citizenship status. Under terms of the Arizona law, even legal immigrants must produce proof of citizenship or legal residence on demand.

San Jose council members Ash Kalra, Madison Nguyen, Sam Liccardo and Rose Herrera jointly called for the city to join in boycotting Arizona by not making official trips to the state or purchasing goods or services from companies based there.

The proposal also calls for San Jose to officially denounce the Arizona law, and it states that the city won't report the immigration status of otherwise law-abiding local residents to federal authorities."

“We cannot pass laws that allow someone to be stopped on the street because of the color of their skin,” said City Councilwoman Rose Herrera."

I say that we BOYCOTT SAN JOSE! Just like other fear mongers they lie. The law does NOT allow anyone to be stopped based on skin color. There is NO RATIONAL REASON to fight this law. When any citizen is stopped for a violation, they are required to provide their proof of citizenship...their driver's license. So stop pretending that this is about anything accept harboring illigal aliens for whatever reason you may have!

Immigration ideas from 1907

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people...'

Fast approaching

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.
Ayn Rand

Government "help".....

Government "help" to business is just as disastrous as government persecution... the only way a government can be of service to national prosperity is by keeping its hands off.

Said in 1824

“I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious.” Thomas Jefferson

PS: I want to thank Bill Whittle and his blog at http://pajamasmedia.com/ejectejecteject/2010/04/13/reasonable-men/ for these quotes.

A wise and frugal government

A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government…” Thomas Jefferson from his first inaugural speech.
